What do you mean by ICMP in computer networking?
ICMP is one of the protocol and its full form is Internet Control Message Protocol. ICMP is one of network layer protocol which is used for error handling. ICMP is a protocol which is mainly used by network devices(like router) to diagnosing the network connection issues. ANd this protocol is very crucial for error reporting and testing. Default port is used here is 7. Below are some important ICMP computer networking:-
(1)First use of ICMP is for reporting errors.
(2)Second common use of ICMP is as a diagnostic tool to assess a network performance.
(3)ICMP is also used to hurt network performance.
