Why we should avoid Telnet to administer a Linux system remotely?
As telnet uses the most risky or insecure methods for communication. And this will send data across all network in plain text format. And due to plain text anybody can easily find out the password using the network tool.



Linux Data Transfer

If you are sending login credentials in plain text anyone running a sniffer on the network can find the information. And the hacker can take control of the device in few seconds by eavesdropping on a Telnet login session.
